Josep Pérez made his debut as a director in 1995 with the fiction short film Otto, and since then has gone on to make a dozen more short films and four feature films, as well as working as a scriptwriter and producer of TV series for linear TV and also for platforms, alternating between fiction and documentaries.
His last two films, the documentaries Camping Life. The ephemeral city (2021) and The disciples of Marcel Duhcamp (2019) have participated in over fifty international film festivals and received several awards.
As a content creator company, Jopergon provides production and postproduction services to several public institutions and private companies (+ info).
He studied Film directing at the CECC, Centre d’Estudis Cinematogràfics de Catalunya, and scriptwriting in the International Film and Television School of San Antonio de los Baños, in Cuba. He also has participated in several seminars and workshops such the Telecinco Scriptwriting Techniques Seminar, the Robert McKee’s Story Seminar, or The Art of Negotiating Agreements for the Media Industry workshop by the Erich Pommer Institute from Berlin.
